Senior Java Software Engineer  (Server Side Development)  Local Candidates Please
 
Description

EcoFactor is seeking a Server-side Software Engineer to join its software engineering team. Our robust SaaS system constitutes a wide range of components from Web portals, distributed device management modules to database-centric backend applications. Successful candidate must be a self-starter, problem solver and team player.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Build large-scale SaaS applications on clustered application servers
  • Develop database-centric applications optimized for OLTP and data-warehousing applications
  • Develop Java-based server applications for large-scale distributed device management
  • Adopt best-practice technologies for performance and scalability in areas of clustering, caching, etc
  • Adopt industry standards application-layer security measures
  • Help manage complex technical projects that involve in-house software development and systems integrations with partners and vendors
  • Work with product development staff to help translate functionality requirements to implementable specifications
  • Help support customer support staff to help resolve user issues
Skills
  • 4+ years of experience managing large-scale technical projects
  • Hands-on experience in the following:
    • Large-scale SaaS application development
    • Clustered Java application servers
    • High-performance JMS & Job Scheduling Service (e.g. Quartz)
    • Spring, Hibernate/JPA
    • RESTful Web services
    • SQL and high-volume high-transaction databases
    • Industry standards security including TLS, PKCS
  • Experience in distributed computing technology such as Hadoop a plus
  • Experience in SOA, ESB another plus
  • Knowledge in embedded software development helpful
  • BS in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Local (SF Bay) candidate
