We are looking for a Security Product Marketing Contractor to work with one of our security solutions clients to create vertical market specific go-to-market plans including market segment analysis and research, market segment penetration reporting, marketing programs and key messages for targeted market segments. This role works closely with product management, sales, sales operations and corporate marketing to identify potential market segments and develop targeted marketing and sales programs to effectively target new and existing market segments.
This is a 6 month contract, 40 hours per week onsite (some offsite flexibility) at the client's offices on the Peninsula. This is a w2 opportunity with Stage 4 Solutions.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct market research to understand mobility and security trends, business drivers, challenges, requirements and business opportunities for target market segments
•Develop go-to-market plans for target market segments that incorporate key messages, target audience/buyers, sales channels, required marketing programs, product requirements, competitive landscape, etc.
•Work with Sales Enablement to create and maintain sales tools that enable sales to effectively identify and sell into target market segments
•Partner with Corporate Marketing to execute marketing programs (e.g. demand generation, collateral, thought leadership, events) directed at target market segments
•Contribute to the product launch process by developing or updating collateral and content specifically for target market segments
•Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize product requirements for target market segments
•Develop and maintain reports to track penetration into target market segments
Requirements:
•5+ years outbound product marketing/vertical marketing experience
•Knowledge of enterprise software sales and go to market processes, security software experience
•Excellent writing, presentation, communication/training, research and analytical skills
•Excellent cross functional collaboration skills between sales, product management, product marketing and corporate marketing
•Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels to understand requirements and common objectives
•Technical or business BS/BA
•Understanding of mobile technology, market and competitive landscape
•Experience marketing enterprise software to public sector, financial services or healthcare
