Services Channels Distribution – Business Development Manager at Cisco, San Jose
We are looking for a SERVICES CHANNELS DISTRIBUTION – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER who will be responsible for collaborating with multiple stakeholders in support of the services distribution strategy and plan. The candidate will have experience including a strong distribution and services background, sales/field experience, operations and business development depth of experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for development, execution and analysis of strategic global distribution Go-To-Market plans for Services Channels Distribution with the goal to drive demand and increase sales for Cisco Services.
The professional will act as a liaison between the segments and the Theatres ensuring the proper business requirements are met for a successful launch in distribution/2-Tier.
Responsible for business analysis for small and large projects, working closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that all distribution business requirements are understood, documented and met.
This position will fill a functional role working primarily with the WW Distribution and Services Distribution Operation/GTM teams to support core services transactional processes.
The candidate should have a solid understanding of channel business financials (both distribution and 2-Tier partners), and be able to translate business requirements into functional requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive services growth through distribution, working with Services segment teams (Commercial, Enterprise and Service Provider) in launching new services through distribution.
Conduct impact analysis for new service offerings through distribution.
Act as a liaison with WW Channels Distribution and cross functional organizations for new product/service launch through distribution.
Collaborate with Services Distribution Ops in defining distribution business requirements; including systems and process, incentives and go-market requirements.
Represent Services Distribution field needs and engage with field team to enable successful implementation.
Act as requirements project lead, identifying business requirements and clarifying goals and requirements.
Gather and analyze and document business and user requirements.
Facilitate communications between technology teams, the business and finance.
Investigate and document Distribution financial processes, identify gaps and recommend solutions that will meet the business requirements.
Participate in the development of all project documentation.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent understanding of Services business and proven success
Knowledge of Cisco services and organization is preferred
Business Analytics and Process knowledge with the ability to translate and communicate to Ops
Strong understanding of the Distribution Business and channel financials.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are critical
Strong detail orientation and problem solving skills
Must have the ability to contribute in a team environment and work across multiple departments
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous simultaneous tasks
Typically requires BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 8 years related experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
