In this position, the individual will partner with Sales on key OEM customers and drive implementation of key OEM (qualification, supply, etc.) processes for major PC OEMs. Drives revenue, cost and GM targets and actions to achieve/exceed. Defines customer requirements, champions MRDs (Market Requirements Document), and drives the product planning process (in coordination with Engineering and Executive Management). Must be able to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environment and influence teams for collaboration, successful team results and rapid revenue growth. Develops strategic relationships with industry partners including LSI, Adaptec, PMC-Sierra, etc. and participates with industry associations including standards organizations and industry marketing organizations (SNIA, NVM Express, SCSI over PCI, etc.)Defines target markets, sizing, key customers and partners. Develops competitive positioning and go-to-market strategy. Key participant in out-reach efforts to industry analysts, press and targeted media.
This position requires a BS degree; MBA is a plus. This position requires 15 - 20 years of experience with increasing responsibilities and a track record of successes in design wins and qualifications with major OEM customers in target markets. Experienced marketing skills including MRDs, PRB, and OEM sales support for enterprise storage products for Tier 1 OEMs. Manage target OEM customers from prospect through launch phases and define future product strategies (and roadmap).The individual must have a strong understanding of OEM customers for storage, content distribution, digital creation, HPC and other performance oriented markets. Recent experience and/or existing relationships with major OEM(s) is required. A solutions approach to selling from related hardware products (HDD, memory, switches, HBAs, etc.) Technical knowledge of storage market and interfaces (SAS, SATA, etc.).Strong customer and quality focus with experience building relationships for sustainable growth and outstanding customer relationships .Excellent written/oral communication skills and problem solving techniques. English language proficiency required. Domestic and international travel required .References from a major OEM customer will be requested.
