Excellent opportunity for a strong technical help desk support person seeking to apply his or her problem solving and research skills in the safety equipment distribution industry. Third generation family business located in Alameda, CA is looking for an outstanding customer service person to join our small, focused and expanding team. We operate a growing network of online stores that sell safety equipment and supplies to businesses and consumers within the US and abroad. We are one of the top online safety retailers. Located next to the water in Alameda, we´re applying an Internet business model to an antiquated industry and growing at over 50% a year.

About the Job
The Customer Service Representative will wear multiple hats, with responsibility for answering incoming sales and customer service calls, preparing sales estimates, proactively researching and answering customer questions, and occasionally helping update our web stores.

A positive, "can-do" attitude and team spirit are the most important attributes for success and job satisfaction in this position. Attention to detail, a willingness to develop deep knowledge about highly technical products, and a genuine interest in helping others are also important.

Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills (including email communications)
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Positive, professional, and cheerful demeanor and appearance
• Ability to pass background check and periodic drug tests
• Demonstrated ability to understand and explain a highly technical product or service
• Experience working in an office setting with responsibility for phone and email customer interactions

• GSA experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
