Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking mid-level Product Marketing Manager to work as a consultant to our client. Our client is a leader in cloud security and their customers love them. Consultant candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of security technology plus have experience marketing cloud-based software. We need a passionate consultant who is energetic, outgoing, and assertive�maybe even driven. Strong writing skills are a must. Required domain knowledge includes comprehensive knowledge of security and malware software and software as a service (SaaS).

The ideal consultant is a go-getter who wants a robust career as a Product Marketing Manager for security products in the SaaS space. Maybe he or she has the title of PMM, or perhaps they have been a Product Specialist, a Product Evangelist, a Product Analyst, or a Marketing Program Manager whose primary interface is to Product Management. The consultant must have a solid grasp of the core Product Marketing Manager skillset: driving the go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, field and channel enablement and product evangelism.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Identify, analyze and understand security market trends for customer and prospect base, including offerings of competitors and partners.
* Launch new products and product features
* Develop and deliver marketing plans, positioning, messaging, presentations, demos and sales tools in support of launches
* Interface with sales team and customers: BE the product and subject matter expert
* Collaborate with Marketing Program Managers and Management to support demand generation activities with compelling messages and offers
* Provide targeted sales tools (presentations, data sheets and website content) in support of sales efforts (sales teams and online campaigns) to generate revenue
* Train sales and customer-facing staff

Skills:

* 3 � 7 years of progressively responsible experience in product marketing, SaaS solution marketing, quantitative marketing analysis
* BA/BS in marketing or related field
* Experience creating high impact SaaS solution marketing tools, marketing collateral, industry position papers, web content, and high-visibility thought leadership articles
* Strong marketing analytics combined with business, communications and information technology knowledge
* Ability to excel in a fast-paced, fast growth environment where action, initiative and tenacity are prerequisites to high performance
* Team player whose passion is joining a company of engineers and technologists focused on building new pieces of fundamental infrastructure to deliver a better Internet

Rate: $2,000 per week, as a w2 employee of Crawford Group; could convert to FTE for the right person

Location: Primarily onsite at client offices in San Francisco. Local, S.F. Bay Area candidates only. No phone calls please

Hours/duration: 40 hours per week, ASAP � ongoing
