[KITlist] Program Manager (San Jose, CA)

The Program Manager is responsible for coordination of eligibility and compliance of Federal and State Funded Contracts held by SJB, the SJB/Head Start Process and the CACFP Food Program.

This responsible role with assist in enrolling families to our community based programs. General duties include technical, clerical, and record-keeping support, related to the enrollment of children in the child services programs and the eligibility of the families. This role will also determine the eligibility of families to receive services and will refer families and children to other program services and public agencies as appropriate.

Responsibilities include enrollment, head start program administration, food program administration and various duties, as follows. The program manager shall:
 Oversee implementation of SJB Curriculum. Develop curriculum and lesson plan templates, as needed. Develop curriculum transition procedures.
 Oversee center staff interacts daily with each child and support his or her learning process.
 Conduct curriculum training and develop strategies for implementation.
 Conduct on-site visitations to provide feedback in curriculum implementation.
 Provide feedback and create action plans with Site Supervisors regarding environments based on quarterly evaluations.
 Develop matrices to monitor and measure children�s staff and program overall development.
 Plan and prepare learning activities incorporating student culture, learning style, special needs, and socio-economic background.
 Identify instructional materials to meet the needs of children with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.
 Purchase resource materials, supplies and books to support classroom instruction.
 Permit tracking and assist staff with certification/recertification process for permits.
 Ensure all proper documentation has been conducted by lifelines including DRDPR�s, ITERS, ECERS, SACERS, Environmental Rating Scales, Lesson Plans, etc.

We require:
 MA preferred / BA required
� Must possess a valid Site Supervisor permit or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
� 5 years experience as a teacher and two years as a Site Supervisor; or equivalent combination.
� Familiarity with Title 22 requirements, Title 5, and Head Start processes
� Current and/or ability to obtain TB Clearance and physical screening
� Active Fingerprint Clearance with DSS/CCL/FBI/DOJ and/or submittal of Fingerprint Cards with signed Criminal Record Statement prior to employment
