Responsibilities will include:
Develop world-class software for digital-TVs, Handhelds, Blu-ray players and other devices
Create requirements specification, design software, implement, test and debug
Work with internal and external customers to explore product requirements, propose solutions to challenging engineering problems,
Work with partners to discuss software design options and resolve integration issues
Contribute to the organization's strong drive to be on the cutting edge of technology through the generation of patentable ideas
Effectively communicate with global engineering teams
Basic Requirements
MS/PhD in Computer Science with concentration in Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent professional experience (5-8 years in the industry)
Demonstrated ability to learn on the job
Industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Intelligent Agents
o Natural Language Processing
o Dialogue Management
o Knowledge Representation
o Reasoning
o Machine Learning
Understanding of various software development tools and utilities: IDE, debugger, source control, bug tracking, etc.
Ability to multi-task effectively under considerable pressure of deadlines and easily adapt within a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Development experience in Python, Java, C/C++
Able to learn and build upon existing software packages
Experience with both embedded and highly scalable server side software development
