Description
EcoFactor is seeking a Sr QA Software Engineer/Manager to join its software engineering team. Our robust SaaS system constitutes a widerange of open-source software designed for high volume and rapid growth.Successful candidate must be a self-starter, problem solver and team player.
Responsibilities
¨ Perform QA and production support for ourJava-based SaaS applications
¨ Help adopt best-practice technologies for QA andproduction support
¨ Help establish QA, deployment process to fitinto overall software development lifecycle
¨ Lead/Manage a small team of QA softwareengineers
¨ Participate in documentation, QA, systemsintegration and deployment
¨ Work with product development, engineering staffto review functionality requirements and help establish test plans
¨ Work with customer support staff to help resolveusability issues
Requirements
¨ 6+ yrs industry experience as QA softwareengineer
¨ 2+ yrs as lead QA engineer or QA manager
¨ Hands-on experience in:
o Supportinglarge-scale SaaS applications on production system
o PerformingQA on complex Java-based applications on Linux platform
o Black-box,white-box testing using contemporary tools/methodologies
o Testautomation using tools such as Selenium
o Managingand prioritizing software bugs via tools such as Jira
o Developingtest cases
¨ Knowledge in the followings:
o ClusteredJava application servers
o RESTfulWeb services
o UI/Portalapplication, AJAX/Javascript
o SQLand RDBMS
o JMS,Spring, Hibernate/JPA
o Generalnetworking and security standards
¨ Experience in Java server configuration,clustering and deployment preferred
¨ Experience with embedded software/firmwaretesting a plus
¨ BS in Computer Science or a related discipline
¨ Local (SF Bay) candidate
