Description
Experience providing for standardization, configuration, testing, administration, support, monitoring and maintenance for servers, applications and network infrastructure as well as the related development of documentation and processes as required. This role will function as a high-level technical and customer support resource in the network and server cdonsolidation processes of this agency. Experience should include a minimum support of 1000 plus nodes in a distributed state-wide environment. The candidate should be skilled in prioritization of tasks and experience would be preferred in the realm of technology infrastructure consolidation in both centralized and decentralized environments. Must be capable of doing the research required to provide recommendations for design and implementation, planning and system adminstration for a wide variety fo platforms and applications. Must be able to participate in, and in some cases, lead small projects or components of projects related to development of the resources required to establish the IT infrastructure of DCF.
The candidate will be expected to be highly skilled in management of Cisco products particularly those related to the NEXUS 5000 and 7000 product line and product lines related to switching fabric solutions and virtualization. Candidate should also be skilled with implementation and management of firewalls and other LAN\WAN management solutions such as security management, firewalls, VPN's, access lists, redundancy7 and fail-over management etc and related management tools such as CiscoWorks.
The candidate must have the ability to meet budgeted and planned deliverables consistently.
On call responsibilities will be required for this position and may require minimum response times and office proximity limitations while on call..
