Services Business Development Manager
We are looking for an Services Business Development manager for an ongoing contractor role at a global enterprise solutions company in San Jose, CA. The Business Development Manager will manage strategic deals and the controlled introduction of partner-enabled service offerings to the market.

The role requires a minimum of 15 years experience, including a strong Software & Managed Services background, channels experience, product management/ product marketing experience, and business development experience.

This is a 40 hours per week role onsite at the client's offices in San Jose, CA, for ongoing, quarterly contracts. One or 2 trips per quarter to US based partners will be required. This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage strategic deals that enhance the value prop and accelerate market adoption of the new service offerings
• Analyze market & competitive trends and customer requirements to identify systemic gaps & new opportunities
• Identify & evaluate options to address gaps & opportunities
• Qualify the opportunity and put together business justification to pursue the opportunity
• Initiate & manage discussions and negotiations with potential partners
• Coordinate & manage internal discussions to do required due diligence, define deal terms, get buy-in from stakeholders and drive to closure
• Manage internal stakeholders across product management, marketing, sales, channels, engineering, corporate business development, legal and finance
• Develop plan to ensure readiness of service offer for controlled introduction to market
• Work closely with Product Mgmt to ensure that Product Release plans are aligned with regional needs
• Work closely with Services Channels to ensure that introduction plans are aligned with Services Channel programs
• Coordinate & manage efforts to ensure readiness across positioning & value prop, sales tools, partner tools, collateral and operations; identify gaps and manage & track efforts to close gaps prior to CI
• Manage cross-functional efforts across regional leads, Product Mgmt, Marketing, Services Channels and Operations to drive successful launch

Requirements:
• Software, Managed Services and Channels experience
• Proven track record in taking new offerings to market with significant Channels involvement
• Must have carried a sales quota in prior roles; sales management skills
- Experience in driving & managing partnerships and negotiating deals
• Background in Product Management and/or Product Marketing is a plus
• Project Coordination & Organizational skills
• 15+ years of experience in the software and managed services business
• MBA preferred
• Direct experience with software & managed services business and operations
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and adaptable to change.
