HR Manager position for Manufacturer in Southeastern U.S. -Tennessee area

 

Description-

•          This position is for a manufacturing company based out of the southern United States.

•          This role is designed to help plan, implement, and coordinate facility efforts and initiatives

in support of the three drivers –

1.   People

2.   Operational Excellence

3.   Customer

•          Ensure compliance with Government regulations and company policies.

•          Leading Change to improve systems / processes effectiveness and efficiency.

•          Promote, maintain and implement systems of accountability for excellence in the areas of talent management and employee engagement.

•          Drive initiatives to identify and develop processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency in order to meet the plant’s goals.

 

Responsibilities-

•          Acts with the Lead Team to promote and foster the company’s vision and mission.

•          Acts with line management to institute work system improvements which positively impact business profitability. 

Educate and coach team members on job performance, employee development, engagement and diversity. 

Serve as a change management facilitator.

•          Perform training for all employees on subjects such as company policies, work rules, handbook interpretation and applicable federal and state regulations, to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resources products and services. Accurate and consistent administration of the handbook including facilitating the peer review process.

•          Provide a skilled workforce by facilitating the recruiting and staffing activities, including hourly assessments and hires, recruiting and other salaried activities.

•          Help ensure that the existing workforce is prepared to be competitive by assisting with the training and development programs.  This includes Front Line Leader training and salaried performance management.

•          Promote and participate in the planning and implementation of communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent and timely information on business issues and employee concerns.

•          Research and introduce human resources best practice concepts to ensure that the organization is utilizing leading edge human resources technology and proactively considering new strategies.

 

Challenges-

Compliance with all federal, state, corporate and facility regulations, policies and procedures.

Communication:  Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with the hourly workforce, the other department supervisors as well as upper management.
