The Role: Project Manager
The Location: Austin, TX
TrackingPoint is an early-stage startup in the military electro-optics market. Founded by a well-respected and proven team of entrepreneurs, TrackingPoint is on a path to transform weapon system performance by the application of its groundbreaking technology. Due to our growth and the complex interactions of our multi-disciplined development team, we are searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented agile Project Manager to facilitate, plan and execute project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
The agile Project Manager will be a part of the development team and is responsible for making sure that the team runs smoothly and efficiently and that any issues that arise are addressed in a timely and effective manner. They will also use their foresight to predict and avoid project related problems and complications. The agile Project Manager is ultimately charged with ensuring that all non-engineering aspects of a project including: IT, procurement, logistics, licenses and software, are completed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
You have 5+ years of agile project management experience in the product development field
You have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and PMP certification (these are preferred but not required qualifications, equivalent work experience will be considered)
You have a high-level of proficiency in the agile development process
You have experience in the use of agile tools, best practices and exposure to SCRUM
Your background in image processing concepts would be helpful, but it is not a deal-breaker
Your ability to identify and solve problems has been described as "unparalleled" or "unmatched"
You have a demonstrated track-record of planning and executing long-term projects and achieving deliverables on-time and within budget
You are known as an excellent listener and investigator and can uncover product development problems and facilitate solutions
You are highly organized, energetic, motivated and self-directed and can mange multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously
You are a natural born leader and have the ability to inspire and motivate others
