[KITlist] Revenue Accountant (SF Bay Area, CA)

The Revenue Accountant will work with the Manager of Revenue and Technical Accounting with worldwide revenue recognition for Gracenote Inc and subsidiaries. This position is highly visible and will work with our Sales, Legal, and Professional Services departments.


Responsibilities:

Preparation of invoices, including the review of contractual terms to ensure consistency in pricing and scheduling of future billings
Ensure customers are reporting royalties as required
Assist in internal and external financial reporting for revenue
Assist Finance with the preparation of revenue and cash forecasts
Manage third party royalty report obligations with our vendors
Prepare revenue, deferred revenue, and AR schedules and perform related reconciliations
Support the system implementation related to new system enhancements and features
Serve as the revenue point of contact for the annual external audit as well as internally on a day to day basis
Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close in other areas
Balance sheet reconciliations and related entries

Qualifications:

BS/BA degree in accounting or related field
Experience with SalesForce.com and Oracle (version 12 preferred)
Public accounting experience auditing software recognition (large firm or Big 4) desired
Knowledge of SOP 97-2, EITF 00-21, and EITF 08-1 principles required
2-4 years experience
Candidate should have solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
Proficient in Excel
Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrate the ability to work with others as well as independently.
