In this position, the individual will be responsible for the development of engineering standards, optimizing process and methods, driving strategic and tactical analyses within operations emphasizing topics related to capacity planning, factory strategies, and manufacturing footprint with the ultimate goal of making the business more efficient and competitive. The individual will be expected to drive change and respond to shifting priorities and business needs by identifying, developing, and promoting new technologies, methods and processes centered in capacity planning. In this role, the individual will be expected to take initiative diagnose and drive resolution of complex problems as both and individual contributor and by leading multifunctional teams in both capacity planning and areas associated with capacity planning. The individual will present opportunities, analysis, observations and recommendations to upper management, design process and define strategic and operational decisions involving. The individual will also work with Finance to capture and report financial performance metrics as they relate to the budget of assigned programs. Additional responsibilities include studying layouts and assembly lines, taking into account production load variance and logistics constraints, working closely with material and production planners to ensure capacity requirements are met to meet monthly forecast, and managing capacity tables for all subcontractors. Will also estimate and validate assembly and testing times, and issue production times for various products and options and will schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications. This position requires a Masters Degree in Industrial, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering, with 5-8 years of related experience. The ideal individual must possess strong organizational and problem solving skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Power Point Knowledge is required. Individual must have the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of capacity related issues, ability to filter complex capacity models in its most difficult phases and convert the information in a summarized and logical and clear presentation and the ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Regardless the specific functions of their team, the individual is expected to be very polyvalent and think cross-functionally over the entire Operations organization. The individual must be able to apply technical information to production or planning activities and confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specification, manufacturing capabilities, and project status. A strong IE skills set, including work methods, operator/work balance, equipment layout, and manufacturing system design is required. The individual must possess exceptional interpersonal / team building skills including ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and participate on a multi-functional teams. The individual needs to have a strong understanding of semiconductor device assembly, card assembly and test process flows.
