Silver Tail Systems provides behavior based fraud detection and prevention against business logic abuse on websites. Based in Palo Alto, Silver Tail is VC backed, and been in business for over 3 years. We currently have around 30 employees, but are growing rapidly. Silver Tail was founded by a team of fraud prevention experts who built anti-fraud and anti-phishing tools at eBay and PayPal. Combining experience with cutting-edge proprietary algorithms, Silver Tail has built highly scalable products that minimizes false positive rates and are extremely flexible at adapting to changing fraud attack vectors through the use of Silver Tail's unique behavior analysis algorithms. Silver Tail Systems Forensics and Mitigation products help divert and block bad behavior in real-time. Silver Tail customers are some of the largest sites on the Internet spanning multiple industries. We are cash-flow positive, growing rapidly and looking to add high caliber professionals to our team

Product Marketing Manager ( Ideal candidate will have some security experience, extensive experience in outbound collateral for sales teams, and events/trade show skills)

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the VP of Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will drive the following initiatives.

Build effective messaging and positioning that will communicate to the market the value of the company's products. Messaging and positioning must be relevant to all levels of the enterprise: from fraud analyst to CEO.
Build collateral for us by the Sales team in representing the product and driving closure of sales
Coordinate RFP and RFI submissions
Attend sales calls to demonstrate the product capabilities
Develop, refine and execute an Analyst/Press Relationship strategy to ensure that the key industry analysts and key members of the press are identified, informed and that a bi-directional relationship is developed with each entity.
Interface with customers to determine requirements and feature requests for all of Silver Tail Systems product lines
Perform market segmentation to define the focus and opportunity and produce market adoption metrics to tangibly measure and demonstrate our progress. Further define target market and target account definition to keep focus on core prospective customers.
Assess the market landscape and competition to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and positioning.
Lead the efforts to develop our common understanding the macro trends affecting businesses and the real value and ROI of our solution to customers.
Deliver clear go-to-market plans for the new releases and capabilities of the company.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership, team work, and team management skills in the product marketing and/or product management function.
5-10+ years marketing or product management experience in directly-related enterprise software markets, enterprise-focused hosted software or SaaS business model.
Strong writing skills
Demonstrated ability to listen to a range of sources from the market and synthesize into fresh, concise market and customer views.
Strong technical background and customer orientation
Experienced in working with executive decision makers like VP or EVP of Risk Management
General knowledge of current anti-fraud space including device identification, fraud models, CAPTCHAS, etc.
Strong software background, preferably in the security or anti-fraud space
Thorough attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a small company environment

Education: BA/BS, MBA preferred
