POSITION – MARKETING DATA ANALYST
DURATION – 6 MONTHS +
LOCATION – SAN JOSE, CA
TYPE – CONTRACT
The Marketing Data Strategist will be responsible for extracting value from our customer insights database in support of the marketing team as well as exploring the use of alternative data sources and making strategic recommendations on how we can achieve greater response rates and penetration within our target markets.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
•Data Segmentation Analysis
•Audience Acquisition Analysis
•Database Analysis- Identify which contacts to target based on most potential and least penetration
•Evaluating data opportunities related to outside databases/lists
•Coordinate recommendations with Marketing team and provide input for testing strategies.
•Analysis of response rates across past marketing programs with respect to deliverable, audience, timing, etc.
•Recommendation of data strategies/ marketing tactics based on outcome of analysis
Qualifications:
Past experience in similar role -
Exceptional data analysis skills using Excel, SQL and a relational database required
- Statistical and data mining training preferred (e.g. regression modeling, cluster analysis, categorization/classification issues, sampling, etc.)
