As a Business Development Representative your primary responsibility is to prospect potential customers. You will investigate an qualify all incoming contacts that arise through web, event based and marketing campaigns and through targeted outbound activity.


You are responsible for profiling customer and target accounts, mapping executive structures and corporate solutions, identifying qualified opportunities within divisions, and securing appointments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

*Qualify all incoming inquiries generated through web and marketing campaign leads
*Analyze prospect business needs
*Using a consultative approach, investigate opportunities into assigned existing customer major accounts and identify mutual objectives
*Prospect into target accounts to find new revenue opportunities
*Develop an effective strategy to articulate the RightNow value proposition
*Provide feedback to Marketing regarding campaign development and execution
*Maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal Sales Automation system
*Report weekly metrics to Business Development Manager
*Work with Account Executives to gain insight into individual territory and key account plans and establish lead generation priorities and methods


Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background

*Bachelor´s Degree (preferably in related subject matter)
*Minimum of 2 years sales experience
*Background in technology (software, internet, knowledge bases) preferred
*Good communication skills and excellent listening and discovery-process skills
*Sales skills (Prospecting/Qualifying)
*Good organizational & analytical skills
*Proficient with standard software applications
