We need to hire a Manager, Software Development to help guide development of the robust technology platform that powers our web services.

Your team will continuously innovate to bring about new features and enhance user experience, power mobile offerings, integrate with a wide variety of systems and services through APIs, and scale and support the infrastructure to keep the entire operation performing to expectations.

This is a hands-on manager role in an entrepreneurial team; expected to manage a variety of responsibilities including getting hands on with the code.

Responsibilities

Primary point of contact between development and strategy teams at project instantiation.
Manages developer resource allocation at the project level.
Develops and initiates proper development processes that fit within the division wide project life-cycle.
Responsible for release management.
Manages Bug Triage & Assignment.
Coordinates with Program Management.
Provides for internal development processes to improve design and implementation cycles (milestones, standards, reviews, etc.).
Handles personnel related issues from developers (salary, promotions, goals, coaching, development, etc).
Accountable for team performance and achieving objectives.
Creates an environment of accountability.
May use programming languages, software tools, and software development environments to code, modify, and maintain programs

Skills/Experience

4 to 5 years proven management experience in a related role.
8+ years hands on software development experience in related technologies.
Experience developing consumer web applications is preferred.
Experience working with and/or developing for social platforms is preferred.
Knowledge of programming in PHP and SQL is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to adapt to changing working conditions and assignments.
Exceptional interpersonal and team building skills.
