We seek a Web Site Manager to drive the planning, implementation, maintenance, and accessibility of the company web sites (www, extranet, intranet) in support of marketing and business goals.
The Webmaster will work with the Marketing team to build and improve web sites based on stakeholder requirements. In short, the Webmaster will act as the Marketing Department's "go-to person" for the company's web presence, ensuring that all individual components of the sites come together successfully. This position is full-time and reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate web content, ideally with companies that drive a portion of their sales or business activities online. Core Competency Requirements

Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS). Able to assess and recommend a new CMS and lead project on implementation.
Extensive web project management skills. Ability to translate the creative push of "this is want we could do" against the technologist view of "this is what we can do" (skills with both front-end and back-end web project management).
Proven ability to effectively identify and recommend technical solutions.

Track record of working independently and effectively to successfully execute web projects in support of the company's marketing and business development goals.

Position Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Develop roadmap for web site, based on business goals and input from stakeholders.
Proactively identify opportunities for web site enhancements that are consistent with site strategy.
Assess competitive web sites regarding content, look and feel, and functionality, and make corresponding improvement recommendations.


Operational Management

Create and maintain a consistent web site architectural structure.
Find, diagnose, and work with agency (web developers) on bug fixes.
Set and enforce compatibility and interoperability standards that ensure site accessibility for users (i.e. browsers, etc.).
Support internal stakeholders by developing procedures for web publishing, implementation and maintenance.
Collect and analyze site statistics, develop standard site performance reporting.
Perform quality assurance testing.

Knowledge & Experience critical for this position:

Experience with CMS tools – Implementation and optimization.
Extensive project management experience, including managing business relationships with internal clients, external vendors, solution providers, and contractors.
Strong knowledge and understanding of web site design, web technologies and information architecture.
Knowledge of web development languages including HTML, ASP, VB.NET, C#.NET, and Javascript.
Knowledge of current Internet technologies, including Web 2.0
Knowledge of web-database integration and relational database platforms, including SQL Server 2000/2005, and MySQL.

Education/Work Experience Requirements

College degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
