[JimsJobs] FT/Perm Position - Product Manager - Chicago IL (Suburbs) - with funds available for relocation for qualified candidates

 

Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for acquiring, updating, and comparison of our client’s product performance vs. competitive performance, and competitive landscaping (pricing, features, applications, and innovation).

Evaluate ideas and suggestions for new products, investigate market opportunities and effect on market for present products, and recommend exploitation of fiscally attractive products.

Provide support to Electrical, Automotive, Industrial, and Retail Channels working with National Account Managers

Recommend specific and measurable Marketing objectives for product lines relating to profits and market share.

Develop pricing criteria for new product ideas to achieve planned market position and gross margin targets.

Continually improve knowledge of size and share of markets into which assigned products can be sold.

Develop and recommend product sales objectives - including sales volume and profit forecasts.

Lead implementation of new product launches outlined in the new product marketing plan.

Analysis and comparison of competitive performance and landscape in the market.

Develop and drive the brand, product and line strategy associated to the brand.

Drive continuous improvement in sales, gross margin, and inventory turns.

Set and maintain product pricing on assigned products. 

Create and drive new promotional programs.

Other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required - MBA or masters degree in market is desired.

Experience in product engineering or mechanical engineering.

Demonstrated sense of urgency and organization.

Results oriented; high energy; self motivated.

5-10 years product management experience.

Experience marketing through distributors.
