Qualified candidate will have 5 to 10 years of hands-on Test Engineering experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment.

•Must have a strong understanding of electronic circuit theory.

•Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics.

•Must have proven capabilities in ability to troubleshoot problems on high component count Printed circuit board assemblies, to the component level.

•Must be able to support all aspects of New Printed circuit oard assembly verification and characterization during product development. These responsibilities include:
o Working with engineering to assure product meets performance
specifications
o Assuring CPk taget values are achieved prior to Release to
Manufacturing (RTM)
o Will be responsible for training contract manufacturing and repair
facilities on new product test process, procedures, tooling,
troubleshooting or other technical process related issues, as
needed.
o Responsible for all test process documentation, training and
process transfer initiatives.
o Responsible for reporting accurate information regarding the root
causes of product failures, and all tests results conducted as part
of the failure investigation.
o Ensuring that the product being evaluated meets performance and
workmanship standards
o Clearly communicating product and process quality issues in a
timely manner to Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality personnel,
and recommending ideas for quality improvement.

•Able to complete tasks on time with no supervision.

•Responsible for mentoring junior test engineers as well as technicians.

Qualifications:

BSEE, BSEET or equivalent with 5 to 10 years of hands-on Test Engineering experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment.

Experience with system and board debug down to the component level. Knowledge of programming language with preferred knowledge of Unix/linux, C and/or C++ program languages.
Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as DMM, signal generators, Oscilloscope, and logic analyzer. Knowledge of statistical analysis on test results.
Good writing and speaking skills
Ability to communicate complex technical issues to design team.
