Shutterfly is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, action-oriented Manager of Promotions to help drive the promotions strategy, set promotions and discounting guidelines, and execute promotional programs. You will be part of a talented team who plan and execute promotional programs designed to maximize Shutterfly revenue while maintaining target margins. This role requires a strong but collaborative individual who is capable of driving cross-functional programs, building consensus, and using data to make fact-based decisions.
As a Manager of Promotions & Discounts you will partner closely with key business unit and marketing team leaders to determine strategies, set-up test plans, and execute programs.
Responsibilities:
Discounting
Conduct discounting analysis
Set discounting policies for each type of product, marketing channel and type of discounting
Work with other marketing groups to conduct discounting testing
Execute discount strategies
Promotions
Work with other marketing groups to establish promotional programs to increase sales while reducing discounting
Lead the execution of all of Shutterfly's promotions
Forecasting
Establish forecasts for YoY growth for all products based on promotional strategies
Update the product volume forecast and communicate it to the materials and factory organizations for capacity planning and production
Management
Manage an Associate Marketing Manager in execution of promotional programs
Qualifications:
5 – 10 + years of experience in an analytical role within a Finance or Marketing organization.
Ability to collaborate actively & effectively on multidisciplinary teams
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
Motivated, dynamic, creative and results-oriented
Retail and/or Ecommerce experience a plus but not required
MBA preferred
