Job Title: Product Marketing Manager

Location: Santa Clara

About the Role:

DLP is a hot enterprise security market, growing at 25% a year for the next few years. We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager for the McAfee Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution so that we can continue capitalizing on this growth.

This role requires a product marketing professional who is able to effectively communicate the benefits of a feature-rich solution from the large Fortune® Global 1000 down to more modest size global SMEs. Security experience, especially with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and encryption is a big plus.

As a key member of the team, you´ll work closely with a range of internal and external groups to define and implement a go-to-market strategy on a global scale.


Key Responsibilities:
• Help drive revenue by working with product management, field sales, and corporate marketing to articulate and produce materials that represent McAfee´s product position and vision
• Deliver all market-facing launch and ongoing product-support activities including customer presentations, data sheets, white papers, web content, webcast content, sales tools, competitive matrices, etc.
• Monitor relevant marketplace and competitive products from a technical and business perspective, and determine appropriate competitive positioning/differentiation
• Train field sales and channel partners on how to successfully sell the solution
• Works with field sales to develop customized sales tools to support complex competitive enterprise sales cycles

Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• Typically 5 years product marketing experience in the security, networking, enterprise applications, or mobile areas
• Knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools
• Excellent messaging, communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Technical aptitude with the ability/interest to perform product demonstrations
• Strong business skills, attention to detail and the ability to get things done.
• Experience performing competitive analysis and presentation of findings
• Experience with competitive research techniques and sales tool creation
• BA/BS in computer science, business, or marketing
• Sales/Sales Engineering experience a plus
• Experience in creating marketing materials for non-U.S. markets a plus
