[KITlist] Graphic Designer | Accellion (Palo Alto, CA)

As a graphic designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high visibility graphics and visual assets that define the look and feel of Accellion, Inc.
More than 7 million people currently use Accellion solutions to share files securely. Accellion is a recognized market leader in providing enterprise secure file sharing solutions which are deployed at more than 1,200 corporations and government agencies, including P&G, Ogilvy, Bridgestone, SEC, NASA, Rolex, L'Oreal, and Hilton. Accellion is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.
The successful candidate will have a diverse creative exposure and be able to apply experience in brainstorming and creating branding elements for both new and existing Accellion marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:
• Create visual assets for social media channels
• Create visual assets for User Interface design
• Create brand defining iconography
• Create web images and digital illustrations
• Design and/or update print collateral, PowerPoint presentations, banners, posters, customer event materials and giveaways
• Uphold design guidelines and maintain graphic standards across the company
• Create clean, press-ready print files
• Create online marketing templates as appropriate
• Work closely with the marketing team to continually refine collateral to meet objectives
• Support vendor selection and management, with an eye to strategic planning as we scale

Desired Skills and Experience:
• A clean, modern design aesthetic and 3-5 years of related, hands-on work experience, preferably at least 1-2 years in-house
• BFA preferred (MFA a plus). Online portfolio required for consideration
• Strong knowledge of online design, print design and branding fundamentals; layout, typography, web and print specifications
• Experience creating visual elements for both online and offline application such as mobile, desktop and print
• Ability to apply best practices to user interface and interactive design projects
• Ability to create clean, web-ready designs
• Good understanding of HTML and ability to code a plus
• Understanding of print concepts (bleed, resolution, and color). Creation of print ready PDFs
• Solid background and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver and Illustrator
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (styles, formatting, and templates, master pages, tables of content and indices, picture and object inserts, and interplay among Office suite programs)
• Experience using both Mac and PC platforms
• Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail
• Able to take ownership of assigned projects from beginning to end
