JOB DESCRIPTION:
Silver Tail is looking for a standout quality assurance engineer with
experience testing
complex, distributed systems. This individual should be highly
motivated, resourceful,
and enjoys taking on new challenges. In addition, the candidate is
expected to be a selfstarter
who embraces the opportunity to learn new technologies. This candidate will join
an elite team of software engineers who are building cutting edge
website fraud detection
software. The individual will play a key role defining, establishing,
and maintaining
quality throughout the product development life cycle (PDLC).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in a small, elite team to test the Silver Tail Systems applications
Continue building out automated regression testing framework.
Create test plans and test cases for each component and/or feature.
Execution of test cases and defect tracking for all applications and projects.
Developing testing tools and resources to test at every level: unit,
functional, and
integrated.
Help define and lead the effort to implement quality requirements
and processes.
Work within the Agile software development process
Think independently and creatively to fill needs as they are identified.
Candidate will be a supportive team member as well as work independently on
multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Intelligent and creative
Embrace new ideas (yours or from others)
At least 5+ years experience as a quality assurance engineer
Automated and performance testing experience with in house and/or
3rd party tools
Experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
Strong UNIX (preferably LINUX) experience.
Proficient in at least 2 scripting languages (Python and UNIX shell preferred)
Experience testing network infrastructure product (appliance, router, firewall) desirable.
Some experience programming in a high-level object-oriented language (C++
preferred)
Solid knowledge of testing techniques in order to apply risk-based
testing concepts
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
