The Role: Embedded Systems Engineer
The Location: Austin, TX
TrackingPoint is an early-stage startup in the military and commercial electro-optics market. Founded by a well-respected and proven team of entrepreneurs, TrackingPoint is on a path to transform weapon system performance by the application of its groundbreaking technology. We are currently seeking an exceptional Embedded Systems Engineer to join our production team.
The Embedded Systems Engineer will work to rapidly iterate on board designs, layout best practices for mixed signal boards with both high-speed digital and low noise analog circuits, and perform embedded programming. The Embedded Systems Engineer must have keen attention to detail and possess the ability to complete level board revisions quickly with 100% accuracy.
Our ideal candidate will need to have done full cycle board level design of real products and will have developed and finished a product form start to finish.
Required Skills & Experience:
œ B.S. in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience
œ Sound hardware design skills
œ Ability to layout around complex mechanical height and keep out constraints
œ Mastery of C in embedded environments
œ Commanding knowledge of layout best practices for mixed signal boards with both high speed digital and low noise analog circuits
œ Must be self-starter with commitment to excellence
œ Excellent interpersonal communication skills with team-oriented persona
Additional Valuable Background:
œ Experience with image processing systems
œ Familiar with Altium Designer (will also consider Orcad)
œ Experience with MEMS gyros and accelerometers
œ Knowledgeable about DC and stepper motor drive techniques
œ Excellent understanding of basic physics and phenomena
