Candidates can be based in Boston, openings in Boston, Chicago or anywhere in Texas and California. Will travel 50-60% and work from home-office when not on client-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales technical support to prospective clients with minimal supervision.
- Development of customized demonstrations.
- Provide support throughout RFP process and delivering responses to RFP's.
- Deliver technical presentations while providing an in-depth overview of solution and capabilities.
- Effectively communicate with prospective clients, sales representative, and company’s sales management team.
- Contribute to technical boards and cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership and advice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years previous sales engineering experience with experience (preference given to candidates with Identity and/or Access Management experience).
- Intermediate to expert level skills (2-5 years) in at least two of the following scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, or Perl).
- 1-3 years of Systems Administration or equivalent experience with Windows Server and/or virtual server environments.
- BSCS, or Bachelor's Degree in information systems, or related area or demonstration of equivalent knowledge.
- Strong database query experience in a relational database environment (SQL Server, Oracle or Sybase).
- Strong technical knowledge of at least one major operating system environment.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work well both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Active Directory, Novell or other LDAP directory.
- Excellent English written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Exposure to XML and XSLT is highly desirable.
- Extensive domestic travel is required (50%+).
