The Role: Chief Operations Officer
The Location: Amarillo, Dallas, Austin or Houston, TX
A full-service firm environmental consulting firm is searching for an exceptional executive to serve as Chief Operations Officer.
The Chief Operations Officer will work in conjunction with the companyfs President to provide unprecedented strategic leadership and drive operational and financial performance to achieve business results. They will establish and provide oversight of internal controls and the financial team to ensure accurate and timely reporting and enforce accountability for employee utilization rates and project profitability. The Chief Operations Officer will have responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the companyfs operational performance. They will complete due diligence to address operational areas of concern and determine appropriate organizational structure and course of action.
Required Qualifications & Competencies:
œ Bachelor's degree in finance, operations, accounting or similar required, MBA preferred
œ 10-15 years experience working in a financial operations role with the most recent five years working in a senior leadership capacity
œ Strong financial acumen
œ Experience working in an operational or financial leadership role at an environmental consulting firm or construction company is highly desired
œ Hands on experience implementing, utilizing and driving results through an ERP system
œ Ability to work with all organizational and functional levels; person will need to be able to provide ghands onh oversight at construction sites or oil fields AND meld easily with other key executives in the office
œ Strong analytical skills and experience in creating and employing financial models for evaluation of firm operations, and for designing and implementing strategic vision and growth initiatives
