Urgent Requirements:
Role: Desktop OS Image Engineering & Management
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience: 6+ years of experience in the following:
Desktop Image Design and Migration
- OS: Vista, XP, Windows 7
- Zero Touch Installation (ZTI)
- Low Touch Installation (LTI)
- Microsoft Desktop Optimization Package (MDOP)
- Application Compatibility or Application Compatibility Factory (ACF)
- Application Assessment
- Microsoft Virtualization technologies
- VDI (MS/Citrix)
- App-V
- System Center Products
- SCCM- System Center Configuration
Key Task & Activities Include:
- Responsible for image development, process automation, and 3rd level support.
- Responsible for gathering all drivers, installation packages, and components used during the creation of the image and utilize industry standard tool sets and processes.
- Validate that the images meet the customer supplied requirements and internal quality guidelines.
- Support image building problems and issues for the clients* desktop environment.
- Specify standards for installation, configuration and tuning of desktop equipment.
- Maintain documentation for configuration of PC architecture.
- Evaluate alternatives for deploying and supporting applications in a managed environment.
- Evaluate current procedures and processes for accomplishing department objectives and continuously develop and implement improved practices.
- Provide continuing project evaluation and feedback to team members.
- Consult with customers regularly to identify needs, develop and implement proposals.
- Identify and prioritize system requirements and enhancements, and communicate to team.
- Plan and oversee the rollout of all changes.
- Responsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problems.
Skills Required:
- Solid understanding of all standard Operating Systems.
- 3+ years of experience using industry standard imaging tools (Microsoft ImageX).
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting, image testing and regressive testing techniques.
- Experience with creating test plan documents, diagnosing image failures.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM, OSD, Task Sequences, Microsoft SMS, Microsoft BDD.
- Experience with WinPE, PXE, Driver integration, System Modification
- Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks (WinBatch, VBScript, batch files, etc.).
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
