The Role: Embedded Operating Systems Engineer
The Location: Austin, TX
TrackingPoint is an early-stage startup in the military and commercial electro-optics market. Founded by a well-respected and proven team of entrepreneurs, TrackingPoint is on a path to transform weapon system performance by the application of its groundbreaking technology. We are currently seeking an exceptional Embedded Operating Systems Engineer to join our product development team.
The Embedded Operating Systems Engineer will be responsible for writing low level drivers (Open GL, file systems, WiFi, Bluetooth) and port embedded Linux packages to the new hardware while maintaining standards. This position requires strong BSP skills with Linux and/or Android and proven OS porting abilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
œ B.S. in Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience
œ Experience porting and bringing up embedded Linux or Android custom hardware platforms
œ Bootloader experience
œ Low level driver experience including OPEN GL, and file systems, WiFi, Bluetooth
œ Self starter with commitment to excellence
Additional Valuable Background:
œ Experience w/ image processing systems, 3D game Engine, 2D UI
œ Knowledge about DC and stepper motor drive techniques
œ Excellent understanding of basic physics and phenomena
