| In this position, the individual will be responsible for drivers and software to enable the next generation of PCIe attached Enterprise SSDs. Build the software development team to deliver enterprise drivers and software to enable OEM qualification on a range of OS (Windows, Linux, VMware, and Solaris). Provide engineering support during OEM qualifications, working with QA manager to schedule releases during qualification and post-qualification sustaining releases. You need to be hands-on with the team, leading them to success. The individual will have demonstrated experience managing a software development team in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The candidate will have strong project management experience, excellent communication skills and organizational abilities. This position reports to the director of firmware & software. This position requires a minimum 8 years experience managing software development teams. Minimum 4-6 years experience in embedded software development. Must have lead several successful software development projects and demonstrated ability to deliver production level software on time and to specification. Project management experience; experience managing 3rd party development and/or test organizations preferred. Experience working with OEM customers required. Strong understanding of successful source management and development practices .Track record of building and retaining high quality engineering teams.
