Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager will serve as the outbound product champion within the organization and will demonstrate clear ownership of the all marketing plans and outbound marketing activities for the enterprise and mobile products. Responsibilities include creating the overall Go-to-Market plan for the products including positioning, messaging, public relations, channel, launch, programs, collateral and promotions. He/she will ensure product marketing is a driver in achieving business success, working closely with product line management, channel marketing, and sales.

The successful candidate should have significant business-to-business product marketing experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing software or SaaS/cloud products to IT management and C-level contacts. A plus would be experience marketing mobile devices or applications or networking equipment. Candidates must have the ability to create a unique value proposition and market benefits of the product feature set to enterprise customers.

The Role:
• Establish go-to-market plans with consideration of a multi-tiered channel route to market.
• Develop clear product positioning, messaging and value propositions for IT decision makers and channels.
• Stay abreast of current trends in the Mobile, Smartphone and Tablet markets, especially as related to print.
• Share knowledge of market trends and feedback with product line management to influence new product dcompanynition and business plans.
• Develop outbound marketing tools to address external factors including competition, market trends, and emerging technologies.
• Regular interaction with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders and sales; requires influencing product and business decisions and being an effective spokesperson.
• Work with Sales, OEM partners, and industry affiliates to ensure successful product launches.
• Personally evangelize enterprise products and company in the markets.
• Develop launch schedules, packaging and documentation, advertising, direct and indirect marketing, PR, promotions, sales support materials, and website content (with the support of marketing communications staff).

Requirements:
• B.A. / B.S. degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years experience in high technology, enterprise-focused product marketing.
• Strong B2B enterprise mindset & experience. Knowledge of IT organizations, how decisions are made, and optimal way to influence.
• Experience in business-to-business product marketing to enterprise IT a must (software, SaaS or Cloud services).
• Experience working through multiple channels (OEM, Distributor, Dealer, Direct) to serve the Enterprise IT buyer including channel marketing experience.
• Ability and initiative to complete business analyses and make decisions, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders.
• Ability to successfully position a product and to communicate this positioning and the product bencompanyts in a way that is truly compelling to the target audience.
• Strong writing skills; ability to take a complex topic and distill it down to the key messages for the intended audience.
• Excellent presentation skills, both developing and delivering content at customers, tradeshows, conferences and VIP meetings.
• Able to work independently with the ability to multi-task while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills, ability to identify interdependencies, overcome obstacles, and manage complex projects on time and deliver quality results.
