Description
The Senior Marketing Program Manager will help to grow Complete Genomics sales by delivering effective programs using the latest demand generation tools. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the Senior Marketing Program Manager will use best practices in email marketing, marketing automation and search engine marketing to drive revenue. Working with Complete Genomics product marketing team, he/she will create a lead-generating machine that Sales' values.
Responsibilities
Demand Generation
• All aspects of planning, creation of nurture campaigns, as well as managing the delivery and measurement of these programs.
• Provide strategic input in improving the effectiveness of demand generation programs aimed at producing new leads
• Plan, execute and evaluate outbound marketing campaigns, including email, newsletter, SEM, and banner ads.
• Generates all targeted lists for demand generation marketing
Awareness
• Plan and execute measurable field-based programs that build awareness working with key field personnel; generate highly qualified leads and track effectiveness of programs.
Customer support initiative
• Conduct ongoing outreach to customers via phone, email and online surveys to determine customer satisfaction and areas for improvement; Compile and present results.
• Assist in the establishment of Customer Advisory Board
• Drive customer relationship management processes from a marketing perspective, e.g. build customer list and manage customer references
Support Sales
• Analyze pipeline and interface with account teams regularly to develop vertical-based or territory-based leads.
• Ensure alignment between marketing and sales activities with company objectives to achieve revenue targets and other KPIs
Website
• Implement enhancements, dynamic features, and new functionality for the corporate website.
• Executes and reports on SEO quarterly objectives
Support Event Team
• Help drive and execute regional marketing plans and events (e.g., field events, executive programs, tradeshows, and scientific meetings)
• Help identify regional-based events, sponsorships and other marketing opportunities to generate leads and increase awareness
Qualifications
• A degree in Marketing or Business preferred
• 7+ years or more experience with direct marketing and demand generation
programs for life sciences, software, or high-tech market.
• Advanced knowledge of key marketing principles and the creative development and execution process; experience working on a variety of marketing campaigns, content development and social media programs.
• Experience using a marketing automation system (Marketo, Eloqua, Manticore, etc.) and/or Salesforce.com to capture, track and report on leads
• Experience in configuring and/or running reports in Salesforce.com
• Knowledge of e-mail marketing best practices and experience in media buying and list-building
• Experience with data and reporting requirements in order to produce reports
• Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to approach problems from a business perspective
• Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Great attention to detail, highly organized yet able to see the "big picture"
• Fast learner that proactively tackles challenges
• Strong work ethic, sense of urgency and desire to succeed
• Team player with a strong "customer-focus" orientation
