REQUIREMENTS:
PhD/Post Doc. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is a must
Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab for basic programming is required
College-level understanding of optics, semiconductor, and statistics, or 2 years of industry experience is required; experience with optical instrumentation are strongly desired
Familiarity with PC and MS Office programs is a must
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
Up to 50% travel for the first 1 year of employment

This System Administrator's role is to operate and performance-tune storage platforms across the organization to ensure high levels of data quality, availability, and security. REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Sr. Systems Engineer for Atlas or IMpulse platform. The ideal candidate will provide support of engineering and sustaining activities (CIP and Escalations) as well as new product development introduction. Engage in integration project for new optical heads and wafer stage handling technologies. Interface with internal and external engineering groups to in-source and outsource product development.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a BS in Engineering or Physical Sciences; MS in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering preferred; 3 years' experience in semiconductor capital equipment metrology or inspection product development and systems knowledge is required
Knowledgeable in light-optics; understanding of integration of optical measurements devices is a must.

Experienced in sub-system performance tolerance specification.
Experienced in system noise modeling, analysis and measurements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to coordinate technical review teams to understand future market requirements for optical metrology products. You will develop Error Budget Analysis, to define requirements of next generation technologies, analyze technologies to define architectures of new generation systems and specify and select components for next generation technologies. You will also lead an engineering team to prototype next generation metrology technology. Plan (including formal Design of Experiments), Execute (including leading personnel and managing hardware resources), and Report (formal reports and presentations with data interpretation) on experimental plans to identify technology needs. Work with Applications Engineering to ensure full qualification of the product and evaluation of the product to the Market Requirements Document and Customer Evaluations and work with Product Support to ensure the product is successfully launched into the field.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Master's Degree in a related field; PHD strongly preferred.
5 years minimum in an R&D Program leadership role, developing optical metrology systems for the semiconductor, solar, or scientific industries.
In-depth knowledge of Optical imaging techniques including broadband illumination, lasers, beam steering optics, Fiber optics, cameras etc.
In-depth knowledge of Spectroscopic techniques, such as Spectroscopic Reflectometry, and Spectroscopic Ellipsometry
In-depth knowledge of metrology error and noise sources, and the design and analysis techniques required to manage those error sources.
Experienced with Matlab, Zemax or other design/analysis programs is a plus.
