The Director of Paid Search will provide leadership on all Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Marketing and Facebook Marketplace Advertising initiatives within all Shutterfly brands and products to acquire new customers and re-engage existing customers. Reporting to the Vice President of Customer Acquisition, this seasoned subject matter expert will serve as the team leader for an experienced team of knowledge experts, manage a large budget, and be responsible for driving business results to include new customer acquisition, revenue, and ROI. Strong industry knowledge, PPC best practices, business acumen, quantitative analytics skills, and leadership will be essential for success in this key position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of 5 highly skilled PPC Search Marketing Managers.
* Manage an PPC Search budget in the $10's of MM's
* Set PPC Search strategies, develop quarterly plans, optimize operations, and drive business results.
* Organize and optimize keyword portfolios to drive business results across multiple brands and product lines.
* Use measurement, tracking, and management platforms to create analytics and manage PPC Search operations.
* Conduct ad creative and landing page optimizations that include A/B and multivariate testing.
* Grow a young Facebook Marketplace PPC program into a strong and profitable channel for customer acquisition.
* Engage specialized agencies when necessary.
* Provide expertise on industry best practices.
* Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure relevant organizational goals are factored into PPC Search and Facebook Ad projects.
* Engage with senior company management to represent resource needs and performance.
*Drive innovation and education on the search channels within the organization.

Experience:
* 10+ years marketing experience with 5+ years in Search Engine Marketing
* BA/BS degree in economics, mathematics, marketing, or related fields; MBA preferred.
* Experienced Team Leader
* Clear understanding of search industry best-practices, able to effectively benchmark keyword portfolios to best-in-class search operations.
* Demonstrated track record of managing a sizeable budget, driving financial performance, and attaining measurable results through projects.
* Demonstrated success in driving complex projects within cross functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
* Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience in optimization and interpreting test results & drawing conclusions.
* Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), both in articulating his/her ideas and gathering input from key stakeholders.
* Comfortable creating presentations & presenting to broad groups including senior management.
* Innovative thinker able to operate both in strategic capacity, but also with laser-focus on flawless execution.
* Ideally, experience using MediaPlex, Kenshoo and/or other ad serving and ad management platforms.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
