An opportunity in the McAfee Product and Solution Marketing organization exists for a Product Marketing Manager with enterprise mobile security experience. As a key member of the Product Marketing team, this position will work closely with a variety of internal and external groups to define and implement a product communications strategy on a global scale. This role requires a mature, experienced product marketing professional who is able to effectively communicate the benefits of a feature-rich solution from the large Fortune® Global 1000 down to more modest size global SMEs. Experience with mobile products and solutions is a big plus.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Mobile Marketing and is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.
Responsibilities:
• Help drive revenue by working with Product Management, Sales, and Corporate and Consumer Marketing to articulate and produce materials that represent McAfee's product position and vision
• Monitors relevant marketplaces and competitive products from a technical and business perspective, determines appropriate competitive positioning/differentiation, and delivers all market-facing launch and ongoing product-support assets:
o Data sheets
o Competitive matrices
o White papers
o Web content
o Presentations
• Works with field Sales organization to develop customized sales tools to support complex competitive enterprise sales cycles
• Assists in the development and presentation of sales training for the McAfee sales force
• Opportunity to work in the field with Sales and other event venues to present to key customers, press, and analysts
Education/Experience:
• 5 years technical marketing experience in the security, enterprise applications, networking, or mobile areas
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Strong technical aptitude
• Strong business analytical skills, with attention to detail
• Experience performing secondary competitive analysis and presentation of findings
• Experience with competitive research techniques and sales tool creation
• BA/BS in computer science, business, or marketing
• Sales/Sales Engineering experience a plus
• Experience in creating marketing materials for non-U.S. markets a plus
