The Sr. Manager of Embedded Security Marketing is a worldwide position responsible for McAfee's success within the embedded system and device market.

The Role:
The successful candidate will develop a strategic vision, establishing go-to-market execution and supporting sales to build revenue and market share for McAfee's embedded security products. Responsibilities will be to address the needs of the following stakeholders:
1) McAfee OEM/Embedded sales team
2) The targeted strategic partners identified in the business plan
3) McAfee Product Marketing teams (and their BUs) who have target products
4) McAfee field and channel marketing organizations
5) McAfee corporate communications team

The individual is responsible for leading the partner marketing efforts with alliances and embedded device manufacturers by supporting collective business goals through marketing planning, message and positioning support and identifying and executing co-marketing opportunities.

The candidate will collaborate with the appropriate product marketing teams to weave together relevant product positioning and messaging with specific embedded content around vertical markets, competitive differentiation, awareness, demand generation strategies, and thought leadership. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for developing and executing on an integrated marketing strategy for McAfee's embedded security business across targeted markets from the brand/design requirements for products which embed McAfee technologies, to the go-to-market plans that drive adoption of those products. This requires hands on management and close collaboration with cross-functional colleagues in sales, marketing, product/solutions marketing and product management. The Sr. Manager is expected to engage with customers, partners, and senior management through presentations and product marketing activities.

The candidate must have proven ability to set vision for a market, define and support overlapping markets, and demonstrate strong technology and industry marketing skills. An understanding of the dynamics of the various vertical segments mentioned above is a plus. The candidate will have a track record of establishing compelling messaging, creating a dominant market presence in OEM or B2B markets, and effectively supporting revenue growth with new and existing partners and customers.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own delivery of marketing success in the embedded security market as defined in strategic imperative objectives.
• Own development of worldwide integrated marketing strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This includes establishing market goals, baseline results, vertical targets, competitive position, McAfee position current/future, key messages, marketing tactics and execution plans. Evangelize the plan to all key stakeholders.
• Manage co-marketing activities with key GTM partners like Wind River and Intel.
• Manage the GTM activities of the design-in process with embedded device partner
• Work with McAfee and partner Brand/Design teams to define experience and requirements for each embedded product design
• Define thought leadership tools and tactics for educating and acquiring the top targets in each target vertical segment
• Be a credible expert in working with sales and partners – engaging the team to support major deals, and acting as a first line of domain expertise for sales needs.
• Drive the definition and execution of market research, sales outreach, and customer case studies.
• Leverage existing product and solution positioning to create value proposition models to support embedded designs within the targeted verticals.
• Manage creation of content, training tools, and lead gen programs for sales teams and partners to increase adoption of McAfee embedded program
• Create detailed marketing plans, project tracking tools, and results reporting tools to measure success.


Qualifications (Education, Experience and Skills)
• BS/BA, MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years in product marketing, technology marketing, product management or related discipline (vertical marketing expertise desired)
• Adept at translating complex technology and products into simple terms and tools for different audiences
• Experience in successfully driving marketing plans from the concept stage to results
• Superior written, oral communications and organizational skills
• Ability to interact with senior level executives
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with direct reports, and with cross-functional peer teams
• Creative problem solver
