Job Description

This position will be working on the Unemployment Insurance (UI) data warehouses providing new development and production support. These data warehouses support mission critical business activities and reporting needs for DWD. The UI data warehouse is loaded on a daily basis and requires on-call support. Hardware/Software Environment:
Informatica 8.1.1, Business Objects XI 3.1, Designer, Deski, WEBI, Oracle 10g or 11g, SQL Navigator, Ultra Edit 15.10, Compare Data 1.5.0,
Beyond Compare 2.2.7, Argent Job Scheduler, Visual Studio 2008, and Tivoli.

Comments

Previous work experience in government, insurance or accounting applications, a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with the existing data warehouse applications in DWD or with other State of Wisconsin data warehouse applications. The successful candidate will be technically competent and a team player. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. He/She should expect to describe situations which make evident his/her ability to problem solve, ask appropriate questions, learn quickly and work independently within the team framework. In addition, the successful candidate will have data warehouse development experience using Kimball data warehouse design principles. The UI data warehouse team is poised for growth with several large projects ready to go into development. Also a large UI modernization project is on the horizon. This warehouse team offers opportunities for team members’ roles to grow and change. All candidates submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified and DOA will be notified. An in-person interview will be required. A criminal background check will be required.
