Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for collateral creation used for field sales, integrated global campaigns and website. This function works closely with product management for content development. You will be responsible for reinforcing AlienVault's brand identity and corporate messaging. Responsibilities include reinforcing brand identity, AlienVault SEO and updates. You will manage social media strategy and execution.

This role is based in San Mateo and reports to the Senior Director of Field Marketing.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Manage all aspects of collateral development, including: writing and production of whitepapers, case studies and datasheets. Ensure consistency across all avenues of communication.

• Brand/Identity: Develop brand guidelines and templates for all marketing materials and activities. Responsible for all graphic elements used for collateral, events and website.

• Website: Responsible for all aspects of the website. Ensure content is consistent with company messaging, look and feel.

• Social Media: SEO strategy, tactics and metrics. Define the social media strategy and execution. Ensure frequent updates to social sites and build Open Source and SIEM communities.

• Event support: This role will assist in the production of materials for field events. Including: booth properties, graphics and event logistics.

• Campaign Support: Assist in development of integrated campaigns that will drive leads for sales.

Skills & Experience
• 5-7 years of experience (or equivalent experience) in marketing communications/corporate marketing
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal skills
• Proven ability to create effective content and manage production
• Experienced in managing a corporate website, SEO and SEM
• Work cross-departmentally with executive management, product management and field sales
• Ability to effectively multi-task in a start-up environment
• Graphic layout and design is a plus but not required
