WhiteHat Security is headquartered in the Silicon Valley (Santa Clara) and also has a key technical team in Houston, Texas.
The Public Relations Director will manage all media and industry analyst relations, cultivating and maintaining positive media coverage for our company. As part of the Marketing team and reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, the PR Director will work with the executive staff and product management teams to define and execute our overall public relations and analyst relations strategy. The PR Director will manage the development, implementation, and coordination of internal and external public relations strategies, with the goal of increasing our brand awareness, promoting our products, and establishing our thought leadership in our target vertical markets. The PR Director will also manage the relationship with our PR agency.
The ideal candidate for this key position will:
• Have a strong understanding of enterprise security
• Be an exceptional communicator, delivering clear, concise and well structured communications consistently
• Possess a demonstrated ability to own key projects and drive them to completion
• Have relevant experience in social media
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop communications plans surrounding all product launches and corporate announcements
• Collaborate on corporate and product message development
• Manage social marketing strategy and develop integrated PR and social marketing communications strategies for product and service announcements
• Work closely with product team to understand the product strategy and roadmap, to help position the communications strategy
• Manage speaking opportunities and award submissions
• Own the Customer Advisory Board program
• Work with internal team and PR agency to develop, solicit and place contributed articles, bylines, editorials and other key mentions
• Educate industry analysts on our value proposition
• Arrange, facilitate and manage media and analyst briefings with key company spokespeople
• Drive customer success story program
• Establish processes to generate steady volume of press releases and promote within the appropriate channels
• Help to promote key media and analyst coverage internally through field sales, and leverage coverage to support marketing and sales campaigns
Requirements:
• 10 - 15 years strong public relations experience, preferably in a business-to-business technology environment and including both public relations and industry analyst relations
• Significant experience in media relations, plus strong oral and written communication skills
• Previous agency experience helpful
• Experience working with industry analysts to facilitate briefings and educational events
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Macintosh literacy helpful
• Bachelor´s Degree from an accredited college or university
