I am doing a search for an internet software startup and it is an amazing opportunity.
My client has a 35-40 person office. Their company is a very well funded consumer start up with funding from Benchmark Capital and Greylock Partners.
This new firm...think of it as a Facebook for neighborhoods. It is a way for neighborhoods and communities to connect with one another on line. The company launched only a year ago and is growing fast - they already 6,000 neighborhoods using the service across the country and incredible user stories to go with it.
They want a VP of Communications who has a solid, verifiable history of helping launch consumer related products or services in the early stages of their growth, entrepreneurial types who can roll up her sleeves to get the job done and not be relying on any delegation of tasks. The ideal candidate is someone who can be develop the strategy and be on-air spokesperson. They should be articulate, passionate, and genuine about the product. The demographics for the users of this software are traditionally women, 30s/40s...about 68% plus fit that bill.
They are looking to hire for this position immediately so I am looking for great candidates now. If you have the background, work experience , profile and skills, you will be interviewed within the week. A potential candidate might be someone who is currently a Director at an agency for instance who is ready for her next step. Key experience requirement is having helped launch an internet startup.
