Experis IT is looking for a Financial Analyst for our client in the bay area.

Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 12+ months with quarterly renewal

This person is responsible for the day to day management of various business units, Finance and other Business partners. The role will support the following groups with-in I/T: Solutions Delivery, Business Ops, CA, SC and Shared Service Support groups.

Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage an I/T Budget split between Operation Expense and Operation Cost Of Good Sold (OPEX and OCOGS).
- Responsible for reporting and variance analysis as well as collaboration with Business/Cost Center owners in I/T on forecasting and budgeting.
- Setting the monthly forecasts and flashes, quarterly commits and annual budgets for COGS and OPEX.
- Work closely with I/T and Business partners in development of annual & quarterly strategies.
- Provide a holistic view of the plan including all OCOGS and OPEX related activity and spend.
Monthly close responsibilities such as:
- close forecasting, tracking PR approvals as related to business partners.
- Review, coordinate and consolidate I/T and Business funded accruals.
- Run monthly PO/PR report, track each PO spend vs budget, create spending summaries/details.
- Act as a Service Lead for Apptio (service costing tool), collaborating financial & service offering data to be uploaded into database & performing data validation of cost models via review of detailed spreadsheet pivots & reports as well as distributing requested cost data to Team leads to be utilized for executive management presentations. - - - Work with architect to maintain and map assets to service offerings.
- Responsible for various month end reporting decks and presentations to business partners and leadership team on monthly results such as : CIO Operational & service review, HNBU IT Operation reviews.
- Track and maintain Software licenses, Software and hardware annual maintenance contracts/licenses.
- Be a trusted advisor to I/T and Finance organizations.
Perform ad-hoc reporting and develop financial models to analyze what-if scenarios.
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
- Maintain & improve interdepartmental communication utilizing Wiki Central.
- Develop, manage & maintain appropriate records and process

Required skills:
- Calculate and understand bookings of accruals
- Budgeting, Calculate Budget vs. Commit vs. actual
- Manage cross charges and act as a liaison between IT and Finance (Home networking)
- Attending Biz Ops C&cC IT service meetings.
- Coordinate the deliverables and activities internally.

Good to have skillsets:
- Familiar with IT as a service
- IT Portfolio Management, Demand Management
- Participate and coordinate the service transformation activities such as Resiliency, Service metrics, Service Reviews etc.
- Coordination of various business units services related deliverables such as service reviews, Service offerings metrics etc.
- Marinating the application portfolio and service catalogue working closely with PMs as part of their SDLC .
