Cisco is looking for a strategic program manager to manage an effort that is to deliver a social, gamified mobile app that improves the productivity of the sales engineering organization.
Project is in its middle phases and you will need to step in take charge of the effort and lead it forward from a program management standpoint.
The program manager is to be a strategic partner to management and provide oversight of the projects in the program to ensure that the overall program goals are met. This person would identify and manage cross-project dependencies and provide insight into the risks, issues and requirements. Client is looking for someone who is persistent, vocal and comfortable seeking out appropriate information required to maintain the health of the project. Need someone who's able to look strategically across program activities and be able to coordinate across milestones, priorities and cross functional teams and stakeholders.
Some of additional role responsibilities include:
- Develop a Project Charter
- Deliver a Work Breakdown Structure
- Scoping out of other project planning requirements
- Deliver a Resource management plan (what resources in what roles are required to support the charter)
- Initial drafts of other project management plans (e.g. scope management plan, risk management plan)
- Facilitation of weekly project team meetings
- Project Monitoring and Control support (such as change control management, issues management, team communications)
The project timeframe is about 1 year and it's an immediate need.
Client is not looking for someone to simply coordinate tasks but rather needs a strategic PM with proven track record managing across multiple initiatives and projects. Strong communicator and facilitator.
