Rocket Lawyer is transforming legal services by driving complexity, expense and time out of the legal process. We are the fastest growing legal services website and are building a world class team in San Francisco creating easy, web-based, do it yourself tools and providing access to a nationwide network of lawyers for consumers and small business. We are hard-working, fun, have prior experience with some of the most successful internet companies in the Bay Area and are currently looking for a Copywriter to add to our growing team!
We're looking for a customer-focused writer to help the Content team and cross-functional partners write compelling headlines, product descriptions, UI copy, and long-form copy. As an important part of the team, you'll have visibility and input into all facets of the site experience. You will also be responsible for competitive research and contributing to the development of a consistent and strong brand voce.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write short- and long-form copy for our website, social media, blogs, and external collateral
Work with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, business development) to conceive and develop content
Work with technical staff to develop help content for new releases
Effectively communicate personal progress toward project milestones
Proactively identify opportunities for using copy or content to improve the user experience or A/B test
Apply consistent use of brand voice across content types
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
2-4 years of writing for the web
Legal knowledge/background preferred
Agency experience preferred
Must have excellent communication and personal time management skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision is critical, as are the abilities to commit to and deliver against deadlines and adapt to changes in requirements quickly and efficiently.
Interest in content management systems, developing html skills
