The Role: Quality Engineer (Clean Room)
The Location: Northern Los Angeles (Chatsworth area)
Natel Electronics has been a microelectronics manufacturing leader since 1975. Our company provides complete production capability and relies on a Lean approach that continues to reduce waste and allows the company to grow and expand services and capabilities. We are currently searching for a Quality Engineer (Clean Room) to lead quality related initiatives that drive, maintain and improve product quality.
Our Quality Engineer (Clean Room) will perform internal system and process audits. They will review and approve supplier purchase orders; set up and facilitate customer source visits; coordinate inspection process and methodologies; complete and submit first article data packages; review and verify customer contract requirements and expectations; team up with manufacturing and engineering to drive improvements; perform and facilitate root cause analysis; collect and organize data in order to make decisions and drive improvements; chair the material review board process; oversee the handling and processing of nonconforming material detected in the clean room; review and assess design change orders and perform internal audits.
Your Required Skills & Experience
• You have an engineering degree; preference given to those with electrical engineering emphasis
• You have experience with a certified AS9100 Quality System and audit process
• You possess three to five years of experience in a quality engineering role
• You are knowledgeable and have experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques
• You are an expert communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player
• You have strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and quantitative analysis
• You have the ability to interpret drawing per ANSI Y 14.5
• You have experience in using sampling plans
• You are able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• You have an established track record of getting projects completed on time
• Your ASQ Certifications are a plus
