About the Presenter:

 

Ricky Steele is the ultimate Rainmaker. He has a long history of developing new business, expanding the brand, marketing, public relations, and community engagement for clients across many industries. Today, Ricky serves passionately as the Chief Development Officer for Hunter Technical Resources, one of Atlanta’s premier IT staffing and recruiting companies.

 

Steele is a native of Atlanta and served as Director, Emerging Growth Technology Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was instrumental in helping PwC take the dominate position among the Big 5 within emerging growth companies. A lifelong entrepreneur, Steele received the Georgia Small Business Person of the Year Award in 1986. He was hired as a consultant by BETA, SSA, and WIT to study the various technology associations in Georgia which produced the original business plan for The Technology Association of Georgia.

 

Ricky is a published author with the release of his first book, The Heart of Networking, in September 2004 and The Heart of Networking Second Edition in January 2011 and frequently conducts seminars and speaks on the subject of his book. 

 

In addition, Mr. Steele has had a passion for serving the needs of his community throughout his career. Steele was a Founder and the first Chairman for both Atlanta’s Table, part of The Atlanta Community Food Bank and Hospitality Helping Hands. Mr. Steele currently serves on The Carter Center Board of Councilors and has participated in many other charitable and volunteer initiatives over the years.

 

NEW!  Steele’s latest venture is as Host of “Booth 61” on Business RadioX every Wednesday at 2:00pm beginning in March where he interviews community technology leaders from companies large and small. The focus of the show is to build a more robust technology community. “A rising tide lifts all boats”.
