B2B Marketing/Technical Copywriter at FireEye, Inc.

The Role
The writer will serve as the primary business and technical copywriter for Marketing creating copy for a range of pieces including white papers, reports, articles, website pages, landing pages, blogs, social media, and emails, in addition to other items. Audiences will range from chief information security officers and chief financial officers to IT directors and network security managers. The writer will create pieces and also edit copy prepared by others in order to improve the copy and bring it in line with company messaging and brand guidelines.
The Copywriter will be part of the Corporate Marketing team and will work with other groups within the global marketing team as well as product marketing and product management. The position is based at corporate headquarters in Milpitas, CA.
The Candidate
The candidate will have at least 5 years of B2B high technology technical and business copywriting experience, with at least three years in the B2B IT security industry. The candidate must have deep technical knowledge of IT security, strong communication skills, and a variety of copywriting experience. Candidates with high energy, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic will be given preference.
Required Skills and Attributes
• Outstanding writing skills with demonstrated ability to translate concepts into copy that is easily understood
• Superior knowledge of proper grammar
• B2B copywriting experience
• Technical IT security writing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Communications, and/or Computer Science or Information Systems
• SSCP or CISSP certification a plus
• Keen attention to detail and ability to accurately proof content
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organization skills including the ability to independently manage multiple projects in various stages and drive them to completion in a timely manner
• Knowledge of various communication formats and practices by geography and language
• Ability to engage with others on a global basis
• Team player
