Electric Cloud is looking for a Field Account Executive to cover a set of major accounts in the South Peninsula/Bay Area.
Position Purpose:
The Field Account Executive will be responsible for selling Electric Cloud's products and services. Using a coordinated sales approach with Electric Cloud's Territory Development Reps and Solution Engineers, the Field Sales Representative will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with key customer roles in order to initiate and help progress opportunities through to close with these prospects.
The Major Account Field Sales Representative needs to be able to manage a complex sales process and position our solution at multiple levels within the customer organization across various departments including – engineering, test, IT, and operations.
Successful candidates should have knowledge and understanding of the software development process. Candidates should have a strong technical aptitude and experience in managing major accounts. In addition, candidates should be inspired and motivated to work in a fast paced environment.
Electric Cloud's sales organization is both a new customer acquisition environment as well as expansion of existing customers. Electric Cloud's sales roles are best suited for sales people with a proven track record of selling where strong industry-technical knowledge is coupled with consultative selling and large account management expertise.
Position Description:
-Responsible for selling Electric Cloud products and services directly to target accounts. Drive revenue within key new and existing accounts within the territory
-Manage complex enterprise sales process and match the Electric Cloud products to the customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
-Become as intimate as possible with accounts and bridge the gap to executives and other key decision makers and influencers while increasing Electric Cloud mindshare
-Manage existing accounts for satisfaction, return on their investment, growth, and renewal
-Elevate Electric Cloud to a more strategic position within all accounts
-Accelerate sales through the sales process, negotiate contracts, and close new and expansion business in order to meet / exceed assigned sales quota
-Seek out and pursue cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing customer base
-Travel estimated around 25%
Additional responsibilities include:
-Understand and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Electric Cloud's products, services, partners, competitors, and markets
-Effectively conduct web-based and in-person presentations as a part of the selling process
-Effectively manage sales pipeline data and activity reports, and provide accurate sales forecasts
-Work closely with marketing and take advantage of their programs to maximize new opportunities, develop existing opportunities, and solidify customer relationships
-Work within established Electric Cloud sales guidelines, practices, and processes, leveraging the assets that have been developed. Fill in the gaps as necessary
-Work as a member of the North American sales team. Collaborate, share your account knowledge, learnings, and best practices to help your teammates
Skills Required:
-5+ years of direct sales experience of enterprise software, preferably experience with a growth stage company where entrenched, well known competitors may exist
-Technical aptitude must be high; experience with software automation, continuous integration, continuous test and continuous delivery a strong plus
-The demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle with significant business and technical components. The ability to develop and present a meaningful ROI presentation to justify the cost of your product
-Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed quotas selling a technical solution to a technical audience
-Smart, creative, energetic, conscientious, and enthusiastic persona with strong problem solving skills
-Track record of managing complex sales with solution selling and large account management expertise
-A history of driving revenue results against a quote and an expectation that income and job performance will hinge on those quantifiable revenue results
Personal Competencies:
-Self starter with a high energy level
-Ability to work with all levels of individuals within client organization
-Proven track record of quota over-achievement
-Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
-Dynamic presenter with the ability to translate technical thoughts to everyday language for diverse customer audiences
Education and Experience:
-BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
