The Vice President of North America Sales is responsible for the direction and management of all North America Sales efforts including market competitiveness, pricing and channel strategy. The VP of North America Sales will drive the company's achievement of its customer revenue goals. The person manages both local and field employees.


•Drive significant North America revenues through the right mix of direct and indirect sales of the Companies many products
•Manage overall sales process, set appropriate monthly metrics for sales funnel management
•Prepare and deliver proposals regarding partnership, licensing, and sales engagements
•Develop and maintain key customer relationships and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base
•Oversee the hiring and development of the sales organization in North America
•Work closely with Marketing to develop, establish and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs
•Work closely with internal and external legal teams to construct, negotiate, and close contracts
•Devise annual sales forecasts and update Company leaders on sales prospects and quarterly regional forecasts


Desired Skills & Experience

•15+ years sales leadership experience in related high tech industry with 7+ years solid management experience
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or related field, MBA preferred•Experience in the music or video industry or a related media industry.
•An expert in communicating effectively and authoritatively in the areas of software applications and consumer electronics products that enable the delivery/consumption of digital music and media.
•Solid track record of building a high performance sales organizations
•Possess an unbridled passion for, and understanding of, the up-to-the-minute trends that are driving the digital media consumer experience.
•Significant experience in managing relationships with customers and partners and have the ability to navigate a large organizations´ infrastructure to reach and influence key decision makers.
•Adept at working closely with in/out-of-house council to effectively negotiate and bring to closure complex legal contracts.
•Current Rolodex of Executive-level Digital Media (music & Video) contacts in the Digital Media (music & video) and Entertainment Industries preferred
•Sales experience working with the Auto and Broadcast industries highly desired
•Ability to travel frequently as needed

•Demonstrable understanding of key technologies; such as – database structures, XML, network topologies, telecommunications, and web-based services
•Ability to work in an environment that is fast-paced and entrepreneurial while supporting a large existing customer, partner and revenue base where there is a complexity of products, customers and the related aspects of building a service and data oriented product set that requires an ability to negotiate among various departments. This ability requires working within a culture that has aspects of a startup, aspects of a bigger company (ie. Sony) and a talented group of executives and contributors that span all aspects of a typical company culture.
•Excellent ability to organize, synthesize, and present information to senior leadership and key stakeholders on product and sales teams.
•Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities
